bare bones
and scarce hidden
you remain true
to me...
ripped open
flayed and betrayed
you never turn away
from me...
i shudder and shake,
i quiver and quake,
you stand firm
in the wreckage of my wake...
and when it passes
when all is said and done
you are my stone,
you are my one.

The last line in this poem...divine.
The picture? Um, phenomonal. I saw it on flickr and popped right over here to read the poem that went with.
Beautiful, really, truly beautiful.
a.
so many incredible words.
flayed
wreckage
shudder
quiver
betrayed
wow. really love the imagery here...and how the reader can project almost anything, which is sometimes quite a gift from the poet.
(i just said to jonny that i might start posting on thursdays again. thursdays never seem quite right without a little poetry. thanks for this.)
Poe could have written this,
but he didn't.
you stole my breathe and left me here gasping, smiling ~ i love everything about this post, that photo, your words ... magic!
Spare words but lots of meaning! I like the rhymes, too!
There is a short of beauty in sparse words here!
your undoing
This an extremely tender expression... very touching indeed.
and the captured image is captivating...
You pare it down but keep the music. I like this a lot.
