grateful friday a day late...

--the sun is out!
--my brother made it out safely and without an embarassingly
emotional outburst from me as a send off...
just a trembly hug and voice-cracking goodbye
--my daughter's play (she is in the choir) went off perfectly
--the garden is starting to grow and so far, i have been able to keep
the rodents at bay by covering up the plants at night

--reading this book in one night makes me realize what i DO have,
how LUCKY i really am, how GRATEFUL i really should be...

all right, now get out there and have a great weekend!
:)

It's a blissful when you get a chance to read a book in one thirsty gulp. Looks like serious stuff - thanks for the recommendation. (We don't really do Oprah's book club here in the UK - we have Richard and Judy instead- they ripped off Oprah!)

What a great list! That certainly is an extremely powerful book and has made me count my blessings on more than one occassion. Hope the rest of your weekend is going as splendidly!! xoxo

your garden looks great. I want to read that book. I'm reading 100 years of solitude. I like it but it's really hard for me to read for some reason, I keep getting confused with all the people and have to go back. I WILL GET THROUGH IT THIS TIME THOUGH!! ug.

I have that book on my shelf; wasn't ready to tackle it but you're the 2nd person to say it was fabulous. I love your garden and wish mine would grow....um, maybe if I put some time into it!! (=
