my life
right now
is a fast ride
with no stops
barreling through yield signs
hairpin turns
with only
fleeting moments of meeting
other cars
with barely enough time
to flash my lights
before i signal
for yet
another crazy turn...

but you are here with me.
sometimes you steer
while i look for something to listen to...
sometimes i navigate
while you nap
in the passenger seat...
sometimes we pull over for a minute
just to pull out the map
and reassure ourselves
that we are
right
where
we want to be
right now.
