creative check in {tally-up week two}

i have finished the sweater
that i have been laboring on for the past two months...
i am not an experienced knitter by any means
and i really struggled with this pattern
but i really, really, really wanted to make it.

and i am very happy with how it turned out.

i just have to add some buttons and she is done...
and just in time, since the baby shower was cancelled
yesterday due to yet another storm...

and that was my main creative activity
this week...i also did some drawing and some
journalling...

i wonder if i have time to make booties to go
with the sweater, before next sunday....
hmmmm.

You're NOT an experienced knitter??? I probably couldn't even make a scarf if I tried. And not a fancy scarf either, a plain old rectangle scarf...haha. I LOVE this sweater!! It looks beautiful and the colors are fantastic. Can't wait to see the buttons!!

It's beautiful. Love the color. I never got further than scarves - so I'm envious. Diane

Congratulations on finishing a whole garment...I almost always get bored after the front and a sleeve is done...colour combo is lovely!

it's gorgeous!!!

believe it or not, i took up knitting myself... yesterday!
i'm working (slowly but surely) on a cute scarf for myself (gotta start simple). it should be ready just in time for the warm weather ¿?!

anyway, if i get good at this knitting lark, i'll be asking you for that pattern... for my niece as well!

The sweater is darling. If this is what you can make as a novice I'm looking forward to seeing what you do when you've got more experience.

I just love this stitch and the blue trim makes it. Booties would be nice, a hat is always lovely for little babes, to keep their ears warm.
