sweet nothing saturday...

this is what it looks like outside my window...
and this is what it looks like inside my window:
first, on my bookshelf...
then, newly purchased and causing my fingers to itch with anticipation...

ack. tenth anniversary! tips from creative women! KIDS ROOMS!!!
i need to take a breath.
also waiting to be read:

just looking at that green blanket makes me feel a little crazy...
i SO want to know how to do that...
which brings us to
(dum de dum)
my attempt at crochet....
(please remember, i'm just a newbie taking lessons)
hee.
i know it's all a little crazy and all bumpy-crooked-like.
heh.
i just don't really know why?

that said...
here is a sneak peak
at my newest endeavor though,
which will eventually lay folded and all inviting-looking
at the end of my daughter's bed...
(obviously, it needs to get a little bigger first, heh)

and lastly...
i know i said i was going to try to do some kind of
art
every day and i have been, i just haven't been posting
anything so here goes...
please be gentle, this is also a new-to-me-experience
saturday, sweet saturday.

This does look like a perfect Saturday. I really loved the picture of the snowy pine trees -- here in MI, we have the frigid temps, but no new snow to speak of.

Congratulations on your crocheting projects. My grandma taught me to crochet when I was little and although now I tend towards knitting more, I really think I'll dust off my crochet skills, if only to remember how her now-knotted and papery hands looked when she was teaching me so long ago.

Twenty-five years ago I made a crocheted afgan that turned out all crooked and fan-shaped. It's still my comfort blanket and spends entire winters across the foot of my bed.

Your crochet will get more even with practice. Enjoy.
