poetry thursday...my voice.

my voice is
low
and rough
around the edges
deep
and monotone...

jagged
and
full of
staccato beat...

bullets
in point form-
nothing supple,
nothing sweet.

i'm a scribbler,
a scrabbler,
a dibbler,
a dabbler,
i jot.
i record.
i retreat.

(more authentic voices...)

I like the rhythm of this - the way it speeds up at the end. Very "staccato" just like your voice.

And my dear, you've got a way with the written word. I love your poetry, it really speaks to me and when you publish your first book of poems, I'm going to be asking for an autographed copy!!

This is great! Your stacatto style shines in this poem.
