september is one of my favorite months...
don't get me wrong,
i mourn the end of summer as much as the next person.
yet i crackle with anticipation
of the routines ahead of me,
schedules and plans,
lists and consistency.
it is the virgo in me, i'm sure.
i gave the house a vigorous housecleaning
on the weekend...
started looking for new things to knit
and have actually picked up the needles again...
i have picked out what book i will begin
reading to the kids for bedtime reading again
(the golden compass, in anticipation of this...)
i am making lists
and menus
and plans...
i do love september.

September is one of my favorite months too. Must be a Virgo thing. Of course, I really love October the best - the weather here is so close to perfect in October that it could make you cry with the beauty of it.

hee hee ~ i was thinking, wow ~ you guys are a little ahead of us though we already have some changing and i have leaves on my front yard, eep!
i love this time of the year ~ still warm enough to be without a coat but crisp and cool enough to feel really alive :)
