where-i-am-wednesday.

here's where i am this week.
the kids have been gone to my mother in laws
since monday.

i have spent alot of time
reconnecting
one on one
with my husband.

we are always together and we almost always get along
but it is something completely different to be together
without the kids around...
we were able to take the kids to the parade on monday
which they enjoyed...
i LOVE parades...they just make me so happy and excited...
the anticipation, the loudness of the fire trucks, the bagpipes...

i am struggling my way through this book....

so many names...
all the same or so similar,
it's hard not to get bogged down in it...
but then there is so much of it
that i am enjoying
that i know i won't stop reading it,
but i do know it's going to take me a bit to
finish.

watched this movie
and was completely enthralled by it.

planning to watch this movie
tonight and am pretty excited...
love neil gaiman!
love jim henson...even if it is now
jim henson company but hope it
hasn't changed...

working in the garden...

can you spot the tiny tomato above?

spent the day at the beach yesterday with a best friend
and her children and the little boy i look after,

been practicing driving in anticipation of getting my driver's licence
at some point this year...heh heh.

eating strawberry/blueberry shortcakes at 9 at night,

and this is where i have been this week...
how about you?
:)

Such cool pics! I loved seeing the ones of you and your hub. (Are they really from 2002 or is the date stamp wrong? Because those garden pics don't look like they were taken in January..hehehe)

I'll be curious what you think of the book when you're done. I've had so many people tell me I should try that one and I've resisted. It doesn't sound good at all to me, but maybe I'm wrong!

deb...heeheehee...yeah..i suck with
changing the date on that camera...
the date is ALWAYS wrong...heehee...
the pictures were actually just
taken last night :)
and yeah...the book...
it is good, i am about halfway in,
but it is um, a little, well,
painful
to try to read...and a little
slow
at times...to me anyway...
but once i start a book
i HAVE to finish,
so we shall see.
:)

oh i get to see you! i am taking a break from editing and am smiling from ear to ear seeing your smile. i feel like this is the first picture you have posted of yourself - i am sure that isn't true but i love seeing your happy face with your husband.
beautiful.
and the garden is looking fantastic. we wimped out this year and only have herbs. that we planted late. so i hope they get bigger soon.
anyway, love this check in on your week.

I LOVED seeing your pretty face. You and your husband look good together and it sounds like an amazing week; esp. the kiddies at the in-laws. I dream of being able to drop off and have time alone ~ sigh. (=

heh heh...
i know its odd
that this is the first time
i put a picture of myself...
it was stressful for me
for some reason
because i wanted to be
"anonymous"
but then i thought,
mainly what i put on here
is not overly personal/top secret
anyway...
but thanks for all the compliments
:)
they were very well received
heehee
:)

This was a marvellously evocative post (as your posts often are). It suggested such simple pleasures, and so much joy in them, that I felt peaceful and content reading about them, though my week has not been conducive to peace. Thank you.

Oh man- I tried to read that book too- I couldn't do it. I'd really like to hear more about your opinion of it as you go through it, so if you think of it and feel up to it, send an email my way when you get further throuh it about how its going for you.
